We didn't have to look far to find the inspiration for this beautiful curved-back bench. As the story goes, in Philadelphia, "more than 250 years ago, John Bartram, a Quaker farmer, was stopped in his tracks by a daisy while plowing his fields. The plant's simplicity and beauty inspired John and his son, William to spend the rest of their lives exploring, collecting and seeking to understand all forms of nature." We think John Bartram would appreciate this bench both for its simple, timeless beauty and for the fact that it's durably constructed of our environmentally responsible native White Cedar.

Summary: decorative bench 2008-07-04
Comment: This bench is simple and beautiful and very sturdy. It is very easy to put together. I did have to sand it a little in some places (after all, it is unfinished), but it was well worth the price and the shipping was free.
