Product Description
Outperforming its many pretenders, our original umbrella stands alone as the real thing. We use materials and construction that far outlast the flimsy versions sold elsewhere, so it delivers unsurpassed value over years of use. The rugged pole and eight ribs connect with solid brass hardwaremuch stronger than the commonplace metal pin hinges on most knock-offs. Canopies are sewn from heavy, 10-oz. Sunbrella® acrylic canvas (not cheap polyester) that's double-reinforced in the pockets and vented to deflate gusts. Canopies may be raised with one hand, thanks to a smooth pulley system, and the spare rope tucks neatly in a leather loop. Crafted from ecologically farmed nonteak hardwood. Wooden umbrella caps are varnished to block UV deterioration. Pole slots into a stable, enameled-steel disk base or rolling base (see accessories).
