Hand macramé clew knots using strong bowline knots designed to tighten with use are used to attach the hammock to the Bamboo Spreader Bars. Each of the hammocks Bamboo spreader bars are triple dipped in marine spar varnish. The spreaders are made from eco freindly Bamboo making it the strongest spreaders on the market. Summary: Comfy and Easy to Assemble 2008-09-25
Comment: I purchased this as a gift for my husband. It is comforatble and very easy to hook up. We do live in Phoenix and the color faded almost immediately. I was bummed about that. The hammock does hold my husband, myself and our daughter comfortably - about 400 lbs with all of us.

Comment: Great product, especially for the price. Wish the pillow was a little thicker, but for what I paid, I have NO room to complain. I am very happy with this item.
