Summary: amazing for the price! 2008-05-26
Comment: This is a nice umbrella that is easy to set up. It opens and closes easily with a crank. It is very lightweight but that seems okay so far; we'll see if it blows away! The solar lights worked after one day of charging and look beautiful. The solar cap is packaged inside a sealed styrofoam piece, so be careful not to discard it. When initially delivered, I discovered that the plastic at the top of the umbrella that the solar cap fits on was cracked in shipping. Homier was immediately responsive and within a week sent me a whole new umbrella without asking me to return the damaged one. I am very happy with their customer service.

Summary: Great value 2007-09-01
Comment: Forty bucks for a solar umbrella seems too good to be true. But it is true. The pole is light metal construction. But it's very durable and includes a easy to use crank for opening and closing the umbrella. The solar lights last about 6-7 hours outputting plenty of light. It's not enough light to host visitors. Though the light provides perfect outdoor ambiance and security. I absolutely love it.
