Summary: Nice bench if it gets to you in one piece 2007-10-01
Comment: I'll start by saying we really like the bench. It's nice and deep--perfect for a bit of extra storage and seating on our back patio. The hinges are also great--they don't slam shut or anything. However when it arrived, one of the side pieces on the bench back was broken (during shipping we assume). They promptly shipped us another back, but this one was broken too during shipping. They've offered us a partial refund (not interested in sending us a third back). Thankfully we managed to make a back with the parts of the two backs that weren't broken. The item ships flat packed with absolutely no padding whatsoever. I assume that the lack of decent packaging is why we got two broken backs in a row. For 50$ in shipping, I'd think they could throw in some padding!

Comment: This bench is wonderful. Sturdy, but attractive. I have it inside my living room to keep toys in for my grandchild. It looks great and is very well made. The price is great, too.

Summary: Perfect for outdoor seating/storage 2007-01-23
Comment: This bench was exactly what we were looking for. It holds all of our fold-away chairs pefectly. I did have a bit of trouble finding seat cushions to fit the odd dimensions, but finally found some. The lid to storage area, however, is very difficult to open - the sides of the lid scrape against the arm rests.
Overall we're pleased with the purchase.
