Product Description
The Strathwood Lounge is ideal for lounging around the pool, back deck or back yard. The back features a 5 position adjustment for upright seating, very relaxed seating or completely flat seating. A very handy tray slides to either side or can rest below the chaise when not in use. For more comfort add a chaise lounge cushion. This sturdy chaise lounge is easily assembled with an adjustable wrench and the supplied allen wrench. The entire chaise is made of hardwood which is an all-weather wood that is dense and durable. hardwood requires no finishing and will not rot when left outdoors where rain and sun will damage other lesser quality woods. Left untreated, hardwood will weather to a soft warm shade of gray similar to the weathering of teak. Sturdy mortise and tenon construction provides the highest quality joinery that will last for many years. Original color can be maintained by applying a seasonal coat of teak oil.

Comment: I bought this chair a couple of years ago. It's very well made and nice to look at. The only problem for me at least, is that there isn't anywhere to put your arms. It's just not that comfortable.

Comment: I ordered a pair of these chaises, which were priced on Amazon.com at about half that of similar products. They arrived on time and were easy to assemble. One of the pre-drilled holes was slightly out of alignment, so I needed to widen the hole. But that was not a big problem. So far, I am very pleased with these. I have a concern about the stain bleeding, as was reported by another customer, but have seen no evidence of it after a couple of months. I found that they do need cushions to be comfortable to lounge on.

Comment: I ordered two of these last year. They were easy for me to assemble myself. They looked good when I first put them together and still look very nice. It was a rough winter, but with simply keeping them covered they still looked good when I finally got to uncover them again for the summer. the sliding shelf sticks a little (but I expect that from wood in my climate) So far I am very happy with the purchase; I think they were well worth the money.

Cons:
- Stained my deck around the pool (cool-crete), who knows how much damage that is but much more than these chairs are worth. Not sure how to prevent this, maybe sealing them immediately? Seems like something the manufacturer should do instead of the buyer who expects a finished product.
