Summary: Great Teak Find 2007-07-13
Comment: We purchased the table and 4 stools/chairs. We received the items in 4 days (for five cents shipping!) and are very pleased with this purchase. It's a good price for teak and the table is big enough for four people (you'll need to put your serving dishes on a seperate table though). The tables and chairs are very attractive, sturdy and well made. We were specifically searching for a teak dining set at "bar" height because we have a hound dog who will try to grab food off the table if we're not watching. This table is perfect for dog owners! At first I thought the stools were overpriced and it was preventing me from buying this but then I realized that if you add the price of all five pieces together--as long as you have either free of five cents shipping--it's a really good price for a teak patio set.

Comment: This table arrived in perfect condition, was easy to assemble, and looks great on the patio. I also purchased four teak bar stools with it. I applied one coat of teak oil with a foam brush and it now has a warm brown color and repels water spray from the garden. I also added a 42" round glass top which can be easily cleaned and enlarged the table top just enough to accomodate 4 of the teak bar stools (also from Strathwood) around the table. I found weather resistant seat cushions at Target for a very reasonable price. I am sure this table as well as the bar stools will serve us well for many years. I did shop around for teak patio furniture and this was by far the best buy I found. I am so glad I did some surfing before I purchased elsewhere.
